Recovery ToolBox for Outlook is designed to recover data from Microsoft Outlook pst files. The Microsoft Outlook mail client is part of the Microsoft Office software package and is one of the most popular mail clients in the world. The program can be also used to recover information from Microsoft Exchange ost files
and/or convert them into Microsoft Outlook pst files.
The Microsoft Outlook mail client stores such data as: mail messages, tasks, contacts, meetings, notes and logs in files with the .pst extension. Recovering data with Recovery ToolBox for Outlook comes down to:
reading the corrupted pst file
identifying and recovering data from this pst file
saving the recovered data to one or several new .pst files
The maximum size of each new file created by Recovery ToolBox for Outlook can be up to 1GB if Microsoft Outlook versions 97-2002 installed on computer. If the size of the source file exceeds 1GB, the program will save the recovered data to several files. The size of each created file will not exceed 1GB for a PC with Outlook 97/98/2000/XP/2002 installed on system.
On a computers with installed Outlook 2003 and above have not restriction on size of new PST files. Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010 have not restrictoions on size of PST file in Unicode format.
